September 11, 2001 -

The day proclaimed by the United Nations as the "International Day of Peace", becomes a day of tragedy, as a fireball erupts from the World Trade Center in New York City .

Two airliners, barbarically hijacked by unidentified terrorists - crash into the buildings, utterly destroying them. The United States is at war with an undeclared terrorist enemy of freedom and democratic civilization.

Simultaneously, another passenger airplane hijacked by terrorist groups crashes into The Pentagon in Washington, the U.S. military headquarters, causing more mass destruction and death.

These suicidal kamikaze terrorist attacks on American soil, are unprecedented in history.

New York City police and emergency rescue crews are caught in the midst of these explosions, trapped by collapsing buildings as they attempt to remove the wounded. The damage is unspeakable.

Innocent pedestrians run for cover as the World Trade Center - where as many as 50,000 people work - collapses.

Loss of life is expected to be catastrophic.

Smoke and debris fill the air as glass and steel fragments from the explosions descend in a cloud of darkness.

Dazed citizens flee for their lives - choking on the fallen ash and debris.

Firemen work in the fire and rubble of the destroyed World Trade Center as Americans experience the terror attacks that have tyrannized the daily lives of Israeli citizens.

Both 110-story towers collapse - as New Yorkers are evacuated, many stranded without a home.

The hospitals are on high alert, and overflowing.

A young woman is consoled outside the American Airlines terminal in Boston, where two of the fatal flights were hijacked.

Palestinians celebrate in "victory" with gunfire and dancing in the streets on hearing the news of the massive loss of life in today's terrorist attack on Americans.

A sobbing American survivor breaks down in the street.
